If Tomorrow starts without me
And I'm no longer here,
Only think of the good times,
Please don't shed a tear.

Don't regret the hard times,
That you have put me through.
Or the heartaches I've endured,
Because you never knew.

My heart was complicated,
It tried to make amends,
Remember how so very much,
I wanted to remain friends.

But you could not deal with that,
You wanted so much more,
Something I could not give you,
So many times, I tried before.

But when that day arrives,
And you think back to when,
How I asked for understanding,
For friendship from within.

I shall never hold sad thoughts,
To a love I could not  fulfill,
But many times how I wished,
Life wouldn't be, so far uphill.

So please my dear forgive me,
That as your lover, I cannot be,
I cannot control what's in my heart,
So now, I must set us both free.

You say you owe me nothing,
And I guess you feel that in your heart,
So live you life without regrets,
As now we will depart.

I've asked God for forgiveness,
As only one can do,
And I believe He'll bless me,
And let me see this through.

So when the sun comes up tomorrow,
And I'm not here to say hello,
Just keep your smile....have good thoughts,
As those, will see you through.
