I see two eyes that sparkle bright

That cast a light so far,

But deep within those eyes of blue

There's a hurt that's left a scar.

I hear a voice that carries tone

That is pleasant to the ear

But then it starts to break away

Then the sparkle becomes a tear.

Upon a face I see emotion

When a sky is dark not blue,

The mirror reflects its image

Of this face that's now in view.

It shows the pain, it show the hurt

Of a heart that shows concern,

There's a fire that wants to start inside

But the flame will just not burn.

Then the mirror shows another face

An angel by my side,

As I look on she whispers softly

Come with me I'll be your guide.

Do not fear what you can't change

Let your yesterdays disappear.

The angel carried on with words

That was a comfort to my ear.

Today you're going to start

The first day of your duration,

The past is long forgotten

You are now a new creation.

Everything that you have learned

Every mistake that you have made,

Will help you in your better life

For the past in full is paid.

Today that sparkle will return

That your eyes will hold forever,

Your mind will listen to your heart

For this new life your soul will endeavour.
