The things you loved to hear,

Like darling, "I love you"

And let me hold you near?

Why did I hold back

Some of things I used to do,

Like send a rose unexpectedly

With a card that said, "guess who?"

The gratitude that was due,

For all the things you provided me

And not one grumble out of you?

A simple kiss just now and then,

Or a hug to show I love you

But I guess that comes from men?

And I just took for granted

And not stop you at the door,

Did I think the grass was greener

I've learned now to express them
